Story of the shirt:

This Real Madrid home shirt was worn by Los Blancos in the 03/04 season, at the height of their Galácticos fame. Having signed world superstar David Beckham from Manchester United for €35m in the summer, the side consisted of a plethora of household names: Ronaldo, Zidane, Figo, Raúl and Roberto Carlos amongst them. As is often the case with star-studded teams, however, the names failed to translate to results, with the club finishing 4th in La Liga and claiming the Spanish Supercopa as their solitary piece of silverware. The season highlight for this particular home shirt design was a hard fought 2-1 win at Camp Nou en El Clásico, in which both Carlos and Ronaldo netted to secure all three points.
