Story of the shirt:
This Man City classic, designed in the most 90s way possible by Umbro, has a deserved place in the Football Shirts Hall of Fame/Shame (depending on how you look at it). Despite having one of the most garish kits on display in the mid 90s, it was a tricky time for the Citizens, with the club narrowly avoiding relegation in 94/95 and then seeing the inevitable happen after an 18th place finish a year later. Whatever though – the shirt has a ridiculous cross-hatched shoulder pattern and for that alone, you should buy it.
