Story of the shirt:
This legendary Liverpool away shirt was used during the 92/93 season, coinciding with the club's centenary year in 1992 (as noted on the crest). Also of note is that it was the first Liverpool shirt to feature the ubiqitous Carlsberg sponsor, a partnership that lasted an incredible 18 years until the change to Standard Charter in 2010. On the pitch it was a lukewarm year for The Reds, finishing sixth in the inaugaral Premier League season under Graeme Souness. The shirt itself though is an absolute classic template design from Adidas used by various clubs and national sides, with a similar design being used the year before with the Candy sponsor instead of Carlsberg.
