Story of the shirt:
This Juve home shirt was the final design made for the club by legendary Italian brand Kappa, marking the end of an extraordinary 21 year relationship. Yes, incredibly the first Kappa Juve shirt was made in 1979! On the field things were a little more disappointing, with the club only managing a second place finish in Serie A. Incredibly, due to a unfathomably poor seventh-place finish the year before (and yes, they had Zidane that year too...) they weren't even competing in the Champions League. Instead, their short-lived run in the UEFA Cup was halted in the fourth round by Celta de Vigo, of all people. Madness. Great shirt though.
