Story of the shirt:
This incredible 90s Umbro design – one of the best of the 90s Premier League era and certainly up there with Everton's best ever shirts – was worn by the club in their historic 94/95 season. A mid-table finish was expected after a relegation battle the season before, but Joe Royle's 'Dogs of War' were certainly not expected to make a run to the FA Cup final, never mind win it 1-0 against Sir Alex's all-conquering Man Utd. A sensational performance, and although this is a fact Everton fans won't be happy to be reminded of, that trophy is the most recent piece of silverware that the club have won... (except the Charity Shield later that year but let's gloss over that for the impact).
