Story of the shirt:
This incredible Spain away shirt was worn by the national side only a few times between 1988 and 1990, including in the 0-2 away victory against Malta during the side's World Cup qualifying campaign. It was also the official away shirt for Spain at Italia '90, however La Roja wore their home shirt in every game meaning it was never used. This particular version has the number 16 on the back, the squad number for Barcelona centre forward Julio Salinas – an unused sub during the match against Malta.
