Story of the shirt:
Finally! Finally we have both a Burnley shirt AND an item designed by legendary sports firm Mitre in the shop. And what a shirt it is. Incredible to believe that there was a time before the Messiah-like Sean Dyche – who rightly has his own pub these days – but back in the mid 90s things weren't so fun for Burnley fans. In 94/95 the side were relegated from the old League 1 to the then-League 2, and only narrowly avoided a second consecutive relegation the following season. These days, meanwhile, Dyche's men are about to start a sixth consecutive campiaign in the Premier League. Unconfirmed reports suggest that wearing any Mitre designed 90s Burnley shirt gets you a free pint in The Royal Dyche. Don't quote us on that. Just buy the shirt.
