Story of the shirt:
This Argentina shirt was used by the men's national side during their Copa America campaign in 1999, and was used in all the matches at the tournament. It's probably best remembered for being the shirt worn when Martín Palermo took – and missed – three penalties in one match against Colombia, who also missed and scored one of their own. After a total of five penalties during the match, Colombia came out on top 3-0 despite having only scored one of their two. Argentina did then go on to manage a final group stage win against Uruguay, putting themselves through to a juicy quarter final against Brazil. In the end, however, a goal each from Rivaldo and (inevitably) Ronaldo saw them crash out 2-1 at the hands of the tournament's eventual champions. Gorgeous shirt, though.
