However it also carries the infamous 'Marbella' sponsorship, a deal masterminded by Jesús Gil y Gil, the  legendarily dodgy ex-President of Atlético Madrid\/Mayor of Marbella as a part of the transfer of one Diego Simeone from Sevilla to Atleti. Incredibly, Atleti also had the Marbella sponsorship at that time, with both deals alledgedly based on shady use of public money!
