Story of the shirt:
When our friend Javi from Tres Grand came to us with this, we knew we had to collaborate on it. Back in his home town near Huesca in northern central Spain, experienced vintage digger Javi wandered into an old sports shop on the off-chance, as you do. You know the shop, the one you went to as a kid to look at football boots you couldn’t afford, the one that despite the slightly creepy owner always had that incredible new-trainers smell, the one you can’t believe hasn’t closed down yet.
Normally there’s little of interest in there these days, but this time was different. Behind the counter, nestled between two BNWT Starter NBA caps was this: a brand new, unworn, original-tags-attached World Cup 1998 Italy away shirt. The dream. El sueño. Il sogno.
The away shirt design was worn just once during the tournament, during the Azzurri’s 2-2 group stage draw with Chile. A point’s a point at the World Cup, but it still seems incredible that a powerhouse Italian defence of Maldini, Cannavaro, Nesta and Costacurta were stunned by a two-goals-either-side-of-half time smash-and-grab by none other than Lazio’s Marcelo Salas… before that man Baggio stepped up to both win and convert a late penalty and rescue Italy. Allora.
Although not Chilean, Javi did more of a pay-and-grab on this incredible museum piece in the aforementioned sports shop and thanks to him, an Italian Grande Belleza could now be yours to own.

All of our items are authentic original vintage. That's to say, they're NOT new garments, they're items made in the original era listed above, not remakes or fakes.
With this in mind, the condition of each item can vary. Whilst we also give a rating out of 10 for the condition of each item, it's possible you may find other small imperfections (like bobbles etc) that are not explicitly mentioned in our condition rating.
For that reason, we reserve the 10/10 condition rating only for new items, such as deadstock shirts that still have their original tags attached.

We send all products with the shipping service selected by the customer during the purchase process. If you require more urgent shipping, or shipping to a country not currently listed, please contact us via email (info@realvintagefootball.com) or WhatsApp (+34 623 990 600) and we'll do our best to help you.
Once an item has been sent and is in the care of the shipping company, we can no longer be held responsible for its condition or whereabouts. However, we will do everything in our power to help if any problems were to arise.
In the case of a lost package, it is our policy to wait exactly two months from the date the package was sent until opening of an investigation, or, if necessary, issuing any type of refund.
Customs Charges
For international shipments, the recipient may be required to cover additional customs charges or duties. These fees are determined by the customs authorities of the destination country and can vary based on the order’s value, product category, and local regulations.
At Real Vintage Football, we do our best to minimize these charges, but please note that the buyer is responsible for any taxes or fees incurred during the import process. We encourage our international customers to inform themselves about their country’s customs policies before placing an order.
